The Arts revitalization of Toledo (ART) is an multi-stakeholder initiative launched by the City of Toledo and supported by local businesses, non-profits, and members of the community. The goal of ART is to foster open cultural spaces that are accessible, welcoming, affordable, and safe while promoting cultural interaction and understanding in a community atmosphere.
ART Toledo offers a variety of different programs that promote open accessible engagement with the arts while also supporting Toledo’s economic growth by attracting visitors and residents to downtown.

Chalk the Block – Arts Toledo is one of my arts advocacy projects I volunteer for. Last year in 2022, with my extensive background in street painting as founder of “Chalk Fest” at the Emporia Arts Council, I helped Arts Toledo launch their own, “Chalk the Block” event.
This summer, on August 19 from 9am – noon, Arts Toledo will host its second festival. Free and open to all age groups, “Chalk the Block” is fun and collaborative. Some art supplies provided. Prizes are given in various age categories.
